Oliver was born on 15 December 1816 at Hutton Rudby, Yorkshire to parents Thomas and Elizabeth. He was baptised on 4 January 1817.

Literature

Oliver authored the following book.

The Spritiual Hero; Or, The Life of Mr. Wm. Green Bellham, One of the Pioneers Or Early Ministers of the Primitive Methodist Connexion , 1858

Family

Oliver married Mary Betty, daughter of David and Ann Burnup, on 27 June 1839 at St Mary, Carlisle. Mary Betty was born on 28 July 1819 and died on 31 July 1858.

He then married Mary Ann, daughter of William and Elizabeth Camp. She was born on 30 August 1825 at Wymondham and died on 18 December 1875.

Oliver married, a third time, to Sarah Bowman (1819-1892) in the summer of 1876.

Oliver died on 11 February 1895 at Runham Vauxhall, Norfolk.
