Shropshire (Oswestry Circuit)

Welsh-language mission

The Oswestry Circuit mounted a short-lived Welsh-language mission in the 1830s and 1840s, a time when parts of western Shropshire were largely Welsh-speaking.

A longer post about it is found under “Places – Wales.” It is often referred to in the Circuit archives and sometimes in the connexional Magazine. If anyone has further information about it, I should be grateful to learn as much more as I can.
