The chapel was opened on August 8th 1888 with accommodation for 100. The cost to build was £240. At the end of the celebration and opening the total money added up to £259. 5s. 6d, a surplus of nearly £20.
When the photos were taken in 2009 the chapel had been tastefully converted into a dwelling

The Primitive Methodist magazine tells us that the memorial stones of Boswick (sic) Primitive Methodist chapel in the Driffield station were laid on Easter Monday, April 2nd, 1888. The 1888 date confirms this as Beswick.
The site was given by Lord Hotham
The October 1888 magazine confirms that the chapel was opened; the services were well attended and all the letable seats were let.
