Wighton Primitive Methodist chapel was first opened in 1862. The present building dates from 1874.
It was still in operation in 2015 but has since closed.

In January 2023 the East Anglia Methodist History Society launched a project to use the chapel as the site for a Heritage Centre, showcasing the contribution of Methodism to East Anglia. The Central Norfolk circuit has made the chapel available for use on an initial two year rent free basis.
