GENUK says that the first Wiggenhall St Germans Primitive Methodist chapel was opened in 1840. It was in St Peter’s Road. At the time of Keith Guyler’s photograph in 1996 it had changed to residential use and was known as Chapel House. Google Street View in 2009 shows that the extension on the left hand side has been demolished but the chapel itself still exists.
Keith Guyler identified a later Primitive Methodist chapel of 1909 just round the corner in Lynn Road – see the second photograph. However, see David Secker’s comment below That chapel is still in use in 2015.
location: first chapel 597142
location: second chapel 598142

Thanks David for the correction; I’ve amended the wording above and created a page on the My Wesleyan Methodists page about the 1901 chapel here.
Keith Guyler’s photo of the second chapel is the 1901 Wesleyan, not Primitive. The latter closed 1932 and the following year at a circuit meeting it was decided that “the proceeds of the sale of the ex PM chapel at St Germans to be used for renovation of the ex Wesleyan, now used for services”. The Wesleyan is clearly shown on old O/S maps.
