Hindmarsh, Thomas (1865-1931)

Primitive Methodist Magazine 1909

Transcription of Magazine ‘Sketch’

Mr. Thomas Hindmarsh has held the position of Circuit Steward in the Newcastle Second Station for the past six years.

He belongs to an old and honoured Primitive Methodist family.

His attachment to our Maple Street Church is evinced by loyalty and generous support. Of quiet retiring habit, yet possessing great force of character, he has all the qualities of a successful financier. Mr. Hindmarsh is a partner in one of the oldest and most extensive Estate Agency businesses in Newcastle. He brings to bear upon circuit finance unique business ability, so that finance is reduced to a fine art and balances are invariably on the right side.

Order, punctuality, attention to detail are strong points, and a side to his character not generally known is his quiet unobserved ways of doing good, and when we add that he is the preacher’s friend, we sum up the ideal Circuit Chancellor.
