Sunderland Williamson Terrace Primitive Methodist Chapel 1880

Junction of Charles Street and Williamson Terrace

The 1880 Primitive Methodist magazine tells us of the opening of Monkwearmouth Primitive Methodist chapel in the Sunderland First station. The new structure was all of chapel, school room, class rooms, vestries and chapel keeper’s house.

It would cost around £3,000

You can read about the previous chapel in Williamson Terrace here.
