Kettering Primitive Methodist preaching room

J Langham writes in the Primitive Methodist magazine of March 1855 about the opening of a Primitive Methodist preaching room in Kettering. After several years unsuccessful preaching based in a cottage, they obtained a room, known as the “Old Station-house,” in which to conduct services.

The opening services took place from Sunday, December 31st, 1854. J. Stafford, M. Irons and Mr. Rutherford, of Kettering preached. The follwing day there was a tea meeting addressed by Mr Mackness.  On Wednesday 3rd the address by Mr Langham was on teetotalism.
