In addition to the Primitive Methodist chapel in Lower Cumberworth, there was also a Wesleyan Reform chapel in Upper Cumberworth called Salem. However these villages are in Kirklees, West Yorkshire.
Cumberworth is also a village in Lincolnshire, near Alford. You can read a detailed story of the Methodist chapels there here.
Is Lower Cumberworth Chapel the same as Cumberworth Chapel…?…or are there/were there two?
On Ebay.co.uk via a search Primitive Methodist there is a photo when the chapel was being built, also many photos of other PM chapels and other items.
