Happisburgh Primitive Methodist chapel was opened in 1862 when the population was 584 (1861 census).  It served in to the 1970s. It is located south of the main village, well away from the retreating coastline.

By the time of Keith Guyler’s photograph in 1988 it was in use as a house.
