Frierson Primitive Methodist chapel

Fulbeck circuit - but where was it?

By Christopher Hill

The opening of Frierson Primitive Methodist chapel is reported by J Middleton in the Primitive Methodist magazine of 1834. Opening services took place in the Spring of 1834.

We are told very little about the chapel except that it was furnished with forms and, intriguingly, a well built brick pulpit.

There is also the slight problem of where on earth Frierson is (or was). I cannot find it on various gazetteers. The fact that it was in Fulbeck circuit suggests it was in Lincolnshire.

What happened to the chapel and the people who worshipped there?
