Edwinstowe Primitive Methodist Chapel

The Primitive Methodists were established in Edwinstowe around 1816-7
and the 1st chapel was opened in 1848, on the corner of Friend Lane near the
railway station, opposite the Dukeries Hotel on Rufford Road.

The Edwinstowe History Society have also written an article about the Paulson family’s links with the Chapel. Charles Paulson came to Edwinstowe c1872, and his son William Hodson Paulson became a Primitive Methodist minister.
