A Primitive Methodist chapel was founded in 1860 at ‘1 and 2’ Chapel Cottages Broadmoor Road. Ten years later a plot of land was purchased on Mill Lane, and Carbrooke Primitive Methodist chapel was built.  A Sunday school was added in 1896.  

In 1991 it was offered for sale and in 1992 was in the process of being converted into a house.
