The modest building in The Street dates from 1867 when it was opened as the Primitive Methodist Chapel.  It has probably been the only Methodist church or chapel in the village, but  is still active in 2015. A porch has been added since Keith Guyler’s photograph.

  • My greatgrandfather was a lay Minister at this chapel. His name was Thomas Woods , I have copies of an old magazine that mentions him .
In my office I have his certificate for 50 years of service dated 1952.
I attended Ash Road Methodist Aldershot as a child and am now a Lay Minister in the Church in Wales
